2025-2026 Budget Presentation Drafts

Budget Presentations

This year, all members of the C-RCS community will again have access to information about the 2025-26 budget development process through presentations made during the public session of Board of Education meetings on January 27, March 10, March 24, and April 7, 2025. The Board will also hold a Special Board of Education meeting on March 19, 2025, for the sole purpose of hosting a budget workshop.
We encourage all members of the C-RCS community to attend or watch Board of Education meetings to remain informed. Individuals who attend Board meetings in person also have the opportunity to make public comments to the Board. While the Board does not respond to public comments at the moment, they do take them into consideration and may respond at a later date.
The budget workshop scheduled for a Special Board meeting on March 19, 2025, will provide an additional opportunity for members of the C-RCS community to engage with the Board of Education and provide feedback specific to the 2025-2026 budget development process.

Citizens’ Budget Committee - Important Update Regarding Community Participation
As it has in past years, the Board of Education once again put out a call for volunteers to serve on a Citizens’ Budget Committee (CBC). Historically, the CBC has provided the Board of Education with feedback to inform the budget development process.
This year, based on a low response to the call for volunteers, the Board of Education decided not to convene a Citizens’ Budget Committee. Instead, the District encourages all members to attend the budget development presentations scheduled for the January 27, March 10, March 24, and April 7 Board meetings. Community members may use the public comment periods to provide feedback to the Board.
The District also encourages all C-RCS community members to participate in the budget development process by attending and taking part in the budget workshop to be held during a Special Board meeting on March 19. This workshop will prioritize the opportunity for community members to share feedback with the Board of Education to inform the development of the final proposed budget.
Community members may also provide the Board of Education with feedback on the budget process by emailing [email protected]. All Board members will receive the emails sent to this address.
We encourage all C-RCS community members to participate in the budget development process through the avenues described above.
