Over the weekend, three C-R athletes competed at the 2023 New York State Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Middletown High School.
On Friday, Thomas McConnelee placed second in the Division 2 Discus Throw with a throw of 161’ 6” to clinch a spot in Saturday’s Final Discus Throw. On Saturday, Thomas competed against all top finishers in New York State (large and small schools) and threw 162’ 3” to place third in the state!
Anneliese Klein also qualified for the competition on Saturday after placing sixth in the Girls’ Division 2 100m Hurdles with a time of 16.17 seconds. She placed eighth in the state on Saturday.
Ean Comino also competed at the State Championships, placing 10th with a throw of 135’ 4” in the Division 2 Boys’ Discus Throw.
