A generous gift from the Cobleskill High School Class of 1951 will help empower Golding Middle School students to take a stand against bullying.

The class has donated $700 to the Cobleskill-Richmondville Education Foundation (CREF), a non-profit organization that funds learning opportunities for C-R students.

The funds from this donation will help bring a “Sweethearts and Heroes” assembly to Golding, where a social and emotional wellness team “activates empathy in middle and high school students and teaches them how to give HOPE to others and how to 'Jump into Action' and safely help others in distress.”

More information about Sweethearts and Heroes is available on their website: Sweethearts and Heroes

The Class of 1951, along with CREF, will be co-sponsors of the assembly, which will take place this coming fall.

CREF would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to Dick Norton, who reached out to the foundation on behalf of the Class of ‘51, as well as Lewis Chianucci, the Class of 1951 president.
