Golding students participate in 'Manie Musicale'

During the month of March, students in Mr. Knapp’s French classes participated in the global competition titled “Manie Musicale.” 

This competition closely follows the March Madness basketball tournament and is a similar bracket style competition. However, instead of basketball teams, a list of 16 popular French songs are selected for students to vote on. 

“Manie Musicale” first began in 2017 when two middle school teachers from Maine created and organized the event to help students learn and experience the French language through contemporary music with a goal of increasing student engagement, cultural knowledge and French skills. Today, more than 950 schools from 47 states and six countries participate in the competition.
