On Thursday, May 10, 36 C-RHS seniors visited SUNY Cobleskill to learn about a variety of programs offered on the campus, including animal science, agricultural business management, fisheries and aquaculture, wildlife management, humanities, plant science, agricultural engineering technology, diesel technology, and Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic programs certificate programs.

The goal of the visit was to show seniors without plans for after graduation the opportunities available to them in our community and the affordability of these opportunities.

C-RHS senior Deegan Nark said, “I loved how the tour guides helped to explain the various majors at SUNY Cobleskill.”

Many students submitted their official high school transcripts and all were accepted. Many students mentioned how surprised they were about the number of ‘hands-on’ majors offered.

Jeff Foote, Educational Opportunity Program interim director, explained the program provides significant financial and personal support to students in the program.

“I felt that the staff and students at SUNY Cobleskill were very personable and welcoming of us,” said Matthew Schroder, C-RHS senior.
