Senior Thomas McConnelee had another successful day at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Indoor Track and Field Championships, held on Saturday, March 2, at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, NY.
Thomas placed sixth in the weight throw and fourth in the shot put for all public schools in New York State.
He broke his previous school record in the weight throw with a throw of 60 feet 9 3/4 inches, more than three feet further than his previous personal best!
Thomas will compete at the New Balance National Championships this weekend in Boston, MA.
