Mrs. Jodi Coppolo will join the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District as Radez Elementary School’s new principal. She was appointed at the July 15 Board of Education meeting and is set to begin on Aug. 1.


Mrs. Coppolo joins us from her most recent principalship at Fort Plain Central School District, where she served as the elementary principal (PK-6) for the past two years. 


Prior to her service at Fort Plain CSD, Mrs. Coppolo served as the PK-12 principal at South Kortright Central School District for a year and a half, and as an elementary teacher at Middleburgh Central School District for 17 years.


“My family and I have been members of the C-R community for many years. My children attend school within the Cobleskill-Richmondville School District, they will both be in the high school building this upcoming year,” said Mrs. Coppolo. “We are proud to have raised our family in a community that is committed to growth and achievement by providing rich learning experiences for all students. I am excited to have the opportunity to serve the CRCSD in a leadership capacity.”


Mrs. Coppolo is a dedicated leader with extensive experience in instructional leadership and professional development. She is passionate about developing a school community that promotes life-long learners, data-driven decision making, and reflective practices.


“Jodi has an excellent track record as a school leader and a clear vision for the continued success of Radez Elementary School. She is passionate about developing a student-centered school community that is built on trust and collaboration,” said C-R Superintendent Matt Sickles. “I’m looking forward to welcoming Jodi to the C-R administrative team and I am excited to work with her as she leads the students and staff at Radez.’”


Mrs. Coppolo holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from SUNY Oneonta and a master’s degree in special education and literacy from University at Albany. She also studied educational leadership at The College of Saint Rose and holds NYS certifications as a School Building Leader and a School District Leader.
