On Thursday, April 27, members of the SUNY Cobleskill Woodsmen team, including C-RCS alumni, visited C-RHS for a timbersports demonstration. AJ Fletcher, coach, Andrew McConnelee, president, and Hannah Somers, member, all C-RCS alumni, were on hand for the demonstrations.
Fletcher spoke to students about the history of timbersports, safety equipment, and the many different timbersport events. He also discussed opportunities at the collegiate and professional level to compete.
Fletcher and team members demonstrated a few events, including the standing block chop, the underhand chop, cookie stack and more.
Fletcher is currently training for the National Stihl Professional Rookie championships in May.
